There is no looking back for video conferencing app Zoom as the Silicon Valley-based Startup has now climbed to the top of charts on Google Play Store. The Zoom app now holds the third position in the highest number of downloads in India amid coronavirus lockdown. Zoom’s daily users, 10 million in December, now number 200 million. The popularity of Zoom app can be attributed to their basic version allowing up to 50 participants to join a video conference call. However,recently the app is under attacks due to their security flaws .There has been major allegations against Zoom app regarding mishandling or abusing user data.The most popular Zoom security issue is zoombombing which lets just anyone easily hack into meetings and show inappropriate content.Zoom was found to be sending data to Facebook, even if you weren’t logged in to a Facebook account.Their end-to-end encryption is also under questioning.
